James Belchamber and Mary Denyer were married in St Marys,Kirdford on the 29th of May 1831,by banns the ceremony was performed by Robert Ridsdale vicar.James and Mary put their marks on the register and Henry Young and Elizabeth Belchamber were witness`s they both signed their names.There were six children from James and Mary they were Mary bapt.Dec 14,1834,Ann bapt.Jan 15,1837,James was bapt.Dec 15,1839,Jane bapt.June 26,1842,William Oct 20,1844 and last but not least Fanny who was baptisted on the 25th of June 1848.

George Strudwick married Mary Belchamber in 1852 on Oct 23rd.George was of full age and Mary a minor,the witness`s were Charles Strudwick and Ann Belchamber both witness`s left their marks as did George,Mary signed the register.J.F Cole was the vicar.

Ann Belchamber was next to marry on the 10th of November she married Frederick Phillips in Kirdford.Frederick and Ann were both minors,they both marked a cross on the register as did their witness Sarah Phillips the other witness Thomas Bentley signed his name.

Jane Belchamber born on the 22nd of May and registered on the 16th June 1842 was next to wed when she married Israel Cooper again in Kirdford in 1860 on the 17th of November,again they were both minors.J.F Cole performed the ceremony,neither Israel or Jane could write because they both left their marks on the register.The witness`s were James Belchamber and Jane Elliot.

James Belchamber and Abigail Pennicard both minors were married on the 1st June 1864,James was of  full age and Abigail a minor,both signed the register with their mark.The witness`s were George Pennicard and Hannah Pennicard.Again J.F Cole the vicar married them.

                                    

In the 1881 census William and Elizabeth were living in No.8 Rickman Lane Kirdford with three sons Thomas age 13 farm servant,Alfred age 10 a scholar and Walter C age 3.William died on the 14th of May 1923 at Rose Cottage Plaistow,Sussex his son W.J.Belchamber was informant and present at death.William aged 79 died of gangrene of the foot.The death was registered on the 15th of May.

Finally Alfred Cooper and Fanny Belchamber born May 28th and registered on the 29th of June 1842 married on the 23rd of November 1867 in Kirdford,they were both minors.Alfred put his mark in the register while Fanny signed her name.Their witnesss`s were James and Harriet Pannell,Alfred and Fanny had been witness to their wedding early on in that year,again in Kirdford.
